Yesterday, I attended the Internet Strategy Forum’s 2007 Executive Summit, covering Web 2.0 Social Strategies. Some good speakers, mostly saying all the usual things about Web 2.0, blogs, participation, etc. The really interesting observations came after the conference…
This morning, I came in intending to write a brief post about what I thought. On a whim, I pulled up Google Blog Search and searched for info on the conference. Interestingly, I found there were already 10 or 20 posts recounting various aspects of the scene!
Faster than any traditional news source, that’s for sure. Now granted there were probably the bloggiest group of professionals at this particular conference. But early adopters give us a glance into the future. A few hours after the event, we can read about what it was like in the green room with other presenters, or various opinions and analysis on any given presentation in the set. I’m willing to bet that a few were Twittering as well — you probably could have kept tabs on the conference in real time as well. Pretty cool stuff.
Gone Meta
So rather than post yet another recount of the aforementioned conference, I’ll just link you to some folks that recorded every detail, and a good high level summary, and a critique of the FedEx speaker’s strategy, and some pictures of the event on flickr, and finally a a great overview by one of the speakers with links to other blogs and pictures.
I don’t have much to add. Maybe I’m not trying hard enough, but I’ll save my witty prose for some time when I have something unique to say.

Josh,
Thanks for the link to my ISF summit coverage. I wonder why it took so long for it to show up on my radar?
Anyway - the next ISF summit is coming up soon. Steve seems pretty excited about the presenters. Hope to see you there & meet in person!
